Notes when you are baptized
The form of baptism described in the Bible is "immersion," in which the whole body is immersed in water. We believe that this best represents the death of the sinful body on the cross and the participation in new life through the resurrection (Romans 6:3-14).
Baptism is a way of showing God and people that you have been saved by believing in Christ.
Our Baptist predecessors advocated conscious faith and separation of church and state, rejected "infant baptism" and chose the form of baptism stated in the New Testament as "immersion."
If you are unable to attend on the designated day due to health or other reasons, you can ask the pastor and receive the baptism on another day. The pastor will explain the flow of the baptism ceremony and points to note in advance. There will also be a person at the church to help you on the day, so please rest assured.
・On the day of baptism
Please prepare and bring thick underwear, a towel, a bath towel, and anything else you need to get out of the water and prepare yourself, as the underwear and baptismal gown will become transparent after getting wet.
Please bring back your personal underwear.
The baptismal gown will be prepared by the church. Please leave the wet gown as it will be washed at the church.
