Count the number of Lord's grace
In the New Hymn 103 (Until hope fades), the following lyrics "Count the Lord's grace, count the Lord's grace, count them one by one, are repeated. While counting the Lord's grace, aren't there people who state negative or pessimistic words instead of praising the Lord for His grace?
A teacher's true story is told in the Old Testament edition of "One Chapter a Day" by Professor Yasuo Enomoto. When he was a seminary student, he went out on a roadside evangelism with the pastor. No one would listen to him. The children jeered by saying “Amen, Ramen, Chow-mien,”
When the pastor returned to the church, the he immediately started a thanksgiving prayer meeting. Professor was upset and said, "What are we thankful for? This is why Christianity is not working," he reluctantly attended the prayer meeting.
About 20 years later, a new graduate student from the theology department came to Professor Enomoto's church for an interview. It turned out that he lived in the area where he had been doing street evangelism back then. He told the student about the days when Professor Enomoto was struggling doing street evangelism. Then, something unexpected came out from the student. He said, "Professor, it was me who said, “Amen, Ramen, Chow-mien.” (Pastor)
